It only works when everyone plays

The International Center for Research on Women’s new research on male engagement to foster gender equity will officially be launched in Washington D.C. mid-February.

Meaningful engagement with men and boys is increasingly recognized as critical to transforming the social norms of power and gender that disadvantage women and girls, reinforce patriarchy and ultimately harm both women and men.

We asked the International Center for Research on Women (ICRW) to conduct a research on the field on male engagement: how that has been brought to bear in practice in development programmes, and to what effect?

The outcome is the report “Gender equity and male engagement: it only works when everyone plays”.  It will officially be launched in Washington DC mid-February.
